If you're not sure how to make this tasty butter, look no further than below. You're going to find various methods that help you get the job done.
Magic Butter Machine Method
The Magical Butter Machine is truly a machine that was sent to us from the cannabis gods. It's easy to use, and you don't have to worry about the cleanup afterward because there won't be much to do.
The Magical Butter Machine is an essential piece of equipment when you're looking to make things like oils, butters, salves, and other cannabis-infused treats. Before you get started with this method, you'll need to collect all your ingredients.
- Magical Butter Machine kit
- Storage container
Everything that you need to use this machine will come with it when your shipment is delivered. Now let's get to the fun stuff, and that's creating your infused butter.
You're going to want to grab the butter that you've purchased from the store and measure upwards of 5 cups of the butter out. If you'd like, you're always welcome to add more herbs to the butter than just the cannabis that you'll be adding later on.
Place the butter into the Magical Butter Machine. Also, add the cannabis that you're wanting to use inside as well. Set your temperature to 160°F and your time to 2 hours and the machine will do the rest!
Put the glove on that came in your kit and place the filter bag into a storage container. You can use the heat resistant Magical Glove to squeeze out any remaining oil that might be within the bag.
Pour your mixture through the strainer into a bowl or bigger container. Then transfer to your Magical Butter Mold or wherever you plan to store your infusion.
This is the step that's the most satisfying. Seal your storage container and place it in refrigeration until you're ready to devour this delicious cannabutter.
Cannabutter Double Boiler Method
This next method is a method that is easy for sure. But, you've got to keep an eye on it because the water can easily go from simmering to boiling over. The ingredients needed for this method include:
- Filter Bag or Cheesecloth
- Mixing bowl
- Mixing spoon
- Double boiler
There are various steps in this method that require attention to detail to get the best final product.
The first thing you're going to want to do is to remove all of the sticks that come with your flower. Once this is done, you'll want to grind your flower, being careful not to over grind it.
Place the lower pot of your double boiler on the stove. Fill it halfway with water and turn the stovetop onto medium-high heat. Place the top of the double boiler on.
Add the butter from your ingredient list into the top half of the double boiler. Wait until the butter has melted completely, and then reduce the heat to a simmer.
Once the butter has melted completely, the next step is to add the cannabis that you ground in the first step to the top half of the double boiler. Continue to let the mixture simmer for a maximum of 40 minutes.
After the mixture has been combined in the way you want it to, you can remove it from the heat. Pour the mixture through the cheesecloth and strain out the excess oil.
Remove the cheesecloth from the storage container and place the top on. Refrigerator until you're ready to cook with the cannabutter that you've just finished making.
Cannabutter Mason Jar Method
This method is another common method that people might find themselves using when creating their cannabutter, and rightfully so. Before you begin this process, you've got to collect all your ingredients.
These ingredients include, but aren't limited too depending on your tweaks for this method:
- Cannabis that has been through the decarboxylation process
- Mason jars
- Clarified butter
- Filter bag
- Storage container
We understand this list is on the lengthier side, but it will pay off when you've got the desired product you've been looking for.
Begin melting the butter. Open the mason jars that you've selected for this process and set them side by side. Take the cannabis flower that you've chosen and place the desired amount in the bottom of each jar.
Take the butter that you melted in the previous step. Pour the butter into the mason jar over the cannabis that you placed within. Seal the tips securely.
Take your pot and fill it with water. Turn the stovetop on and bring the water up to 160 degrees.
Submerge your mason jars in the pot. You'll want to check your jars every 20 minutes or so. Your jars should remain submerged for no longer than two total hours.
Turn off the stovetop. Place your filtration bag over your storage container. Pour the mixture through the filter bag.
Strain excess oil out of the filter bag. Place the lid on the container. Put it in the refrigerator until you're ready to use it.
Cannabutter Slow Cooker Method
The last method that we're going to detail for you on this list is the use of the slow cooker. This is somewhat like the mason jar method, except for the infusion process will occur at a much slower rate.
The ingredients that you need for the slow cooker method include:
- Slow cooker
- Storage container
Once you've gathered all the ingredients you need, you can begin creating your cannabutter.
Turn your slow cooker on to 160 degrees. The slow cooker should remain at a constant temperature under 200 to prevent the burning of the product inside.
Place the butter into the slow cooker. Stir the butter, making sure that it doesn't begin to burn.
Once the butter is melted, add a little bit of water. Mix well, then add the cannabis that you collected as a pet of your ingredients.
Now you will let the mixture cook for no more than three hours. Ensure that you check on it and the internal temperature so that your mixture doesn't burn.
Put your cheesecloth over your storage container. Turn off the crockpot.
Pour the crockpot mixture through the cheesecloth. Press excess or remaining oil out of the cheesecloth into the container.
Place the lid on the container. Use now or save later to enjoy.
